Q&A with Seth Gibson and Dave Hunt of Bungie
- For Both, starting with Seth, Can you just tell the audience about how you came about working for Bungie and when and how you decided to get into video game development.
- What are your top three all-time favorite games?
- For Seth, what the experience was like testing the game over and over before launch
- For David, what were the biggest challenges during the creation of halo 3’s Cinematics?
- For David, were there any cinematics cut from Halo 3? And why?
- For Both, Seth first, How do you guys feel about he state of Forge and how it is being utilized by the Halo 3 audience?
- Any chance of a semi-customizable controller configuration in a future update? (
- Is it hard to create all of the details in the cinematics? IE: Scatches on the MC, all of the Flood things, all of the little things the community usually notices. (ShadowFox179)
- (For David) Well, this is maybe a bit of a strange question and I know it’s not very Halo relevant, but I don’t know where to find info on this since the animation industry isn’t so big in Ireland. I was wondering who does what in game making. Who’s role is it to make the sparkles, who’s to make the doors open, to animate the wheels, etc. Once I get out of school I want to do animation in college, but once I go into the “industry” I don’t want to do just animation, I want to be able to model levels, make explosions, etc. Is it a “you do what you’re good at” type of thing or is it if you’re a programmer you program, if you’re an artist you draw pretty pictures, and so on…… (Sandwich 92)
- What life expectancy do you think Halo 3 will have? (Kalozois)
